Community Service
Our residents give back — building character, responsibility, and community ties through meaningful service work.

At Heartland Boys Home, community service is a cornerstone of our program. We believe that contributing to something bigger than yourself is one of the most powerful ways to develop responsibility, empathy, and pride.
Our residents regularly participate in service projects throughout the Geneva area and surrounding communities — from yard work and clean-up projects to helping local organizations with tasks that need an extra set of hands. It's good for the community, and it's good for the boys.
Mowing, raking, weeding, landscaping, and general outdoor upkeep for homes, churches, or community spaces.
Litter clean-up, park maintenance, painting, and beautification projects around town.
Helping food pantries, churches, shelters, or other nonprofits with tasks, events, or day-to-day needs.
Basic maintenance, painting, moving materials, or assisting with building and repair projects.
Snow removal, fall clean-up, garden prep, and other seasonal tasks for community members in need.
Setup, teardown, and support for local events, festivals, and community gatherings.
If you have a community service opportunity that would be a good fit for our residents, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out by phone or email and let's talk about how we can work together.
